Another way to look at Monday.
This morning, we are learning about personification through a reading from Florence Holbrooke's Dramatic Readings for the Lower Grades, published in 1911. In this lively reading, each day of the week is personified as an ancient mythological character and the reader tries to guess which one. Images are included.
I added my own two cents with two activities, including one in which Max will create a similar personification for the 12 months of the year using storybook and fairy tale characters. The reading, illustrations, and activities are available for free download in the PDF below. Enjoy! And please post a link if you make a video and share it.
